Acne.
This morning I woke up n saw the mirror. Omg. I had this painful acne around my nose area n my forehead. My skin is combination..oily around the T-zone, dry and flaky around my cheeks. And I don't know wat causes my acne. Then I applied this aspirin mask. These aspirin mask are actually great. It not only does reduce your acne but also help out smooth ur skin and bring a glow. What is an aspirin? Aspirin or Acetylsalycylic acid is analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and is an inhibitor of platelet aggregation. It's a very potent form of BHA(beta hydroxyl acid). It's a very good topical ingredient to help acne troubled skin. How does aspirin work? You may have heard of AHA(alpha hydroxy acids), which are used in a lot of skincare products. Jus like that beta hydroxy is of the same family, and it is used in some beauty and skin care products as well, and it is known mostly for it’s exfoliating benefits, revealing fresh new skin. It opens up the pore and since it has an antibacterial property which cleans the pores from deep inside and protects the skin. At the same time it's exfoliating property helps exfoliate dead skin which is also the prime cause of acne. How do you use aspirin? Regular aspirin (coated or uncounted) Mineral water Jojoba oil(optional)or tea tree oilBefore you make your mask, always be sure you wash your hands very clean. You don't want an added bacterial contamination. Always wash your face before applying any kind of mask. This ensures that the mask can go deep in the pores and work well. I like to do it when I'm just watching tv. Step 1: Take a clean bowl and put the aspirin tablets in it. You might want to pre grind it because uncoated tablets take pretty long to dissolve. Step 2: Add 3-4 tablespoon water in the bowl.Step 3: Wait for the aspirin to dissolve.Step 4: After aspirin is dissolved and mixed, add the jojoba oil/ tea tree oil. Now apply the mask with ur clean hands. Be careful not to apply the mask around the corners of your mouth and if your skin is inflamed or you have some dermatological probllems. And if the aspirin will get too close to your nose, you will sneeze! Trust me on this. Let this mask sit on your face for 15-30 mins and wash off with warm water. You can use gentle circular motions to scrub your face as well since aspirin is also an exfoliator. After you are done washing your face, pat dry and always always use a good moisturizer. You should always use a good sunscreen with SPF 30-50. For me I always go with SPF 50 and PA +++. Always make sure your sunscreen has both UVA and UVB protection. Your face will look brighter and the redness and inflammation of acne will decrease to a certain level. Please feel free to comment and suggestion as this is my first blog.
